Working Towards a Brighter Future
NEW BRIGHTON ALANO SOCIETY AT A GLANCE
A Distinct Identity
The New Brighton Alano Club is a non-profit (501c3) organization located in Mounds View, MN. We have been supporting people in recovery since before 1983. We host 20-25 support group meetings per week and service approximately 500-700 members.
Our primary purpose is to provide a safe place where members of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Ala-teen, Narcotics Anonymous, and other anonymous fellowships enjoy meetings and socialize sober.
We provide a supportive and welcoming environment where individuals and families recovering from addiction can work at changing their lives.

ACTIVITIES
Bringing Change "One Day at a Time"
SERENITY PRAYER
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
RECOVERY **EVERYONE IS WELCOME**
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking/using. There are no dues or fees. We will welcome you with open arms and meet you where you are at....no pressure.
ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.
ST. PAUL INTERGROUP
Intergroup's primary purpose is to assist the AA groups of Saint Paul and the Suburban area in carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to those who still suffer. Intergroup derives its legitimate authority from, and is responsible to the member groups which it serves. In all its activities, policies and proceedings, Intergroup observes the practice and spirit of AA's Twelve Traditions and Twelve concepts for World Service, as well as its three legacies of Recovery, Unity and Service.
NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS
NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using.
MINNESOTA RECOVERY CONNECTION
Mission:
Minnesota Recovery Connection (MRC)’s mission is to strengthen the recovery community through peer-to-peer support, public education, and advocacy.
Vision:
MRC envisions a world where recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs is understood, promoted, embraced, and enjoyed and where all who seek it have access to the support, care, and resources they need to achieve long-term recovery.
“And acceptance is the answer to all my problems today. When I am disturbed, it is because I find some person, place, thing, or situation "some fact of my life" unacceptable to me, and I can find no serenity until I accept that person, place, thing, or situation as being exactly the way it is supposed to be at this moment.”
